More retro Survival Horror inspired by Resident Evil is coming your way, courtesy of Anthony David Valles‘ Pulsebreaker. Currently available to wishlist on Steam, the game also draws inspiration from Fear Effect to double the fun for old school gamers.
While the story has yet to be officially revealed, Pulsebreaker has you battling zombies after a citywide outbreak. You’ll also be getting up close and personal with zombies, thanks to its fixed camera, cramped corridors and urban environments.
As is the way, you’ll be doing the usual resource collecting and managing your limited inventory. The gunplay is described as being “deep,” and becomes more varied with each new weapon you acquire. You’ll also be having to employ strategy with your shooting, as a well-placed shot will stagger the enemy, allowing you to get in addition damage thanks to your character employing Leon Kennedy’s roundhouse kick from Resident Evil 4.
No release date has been announced yet, but it’ll be another title to help sate your hunger until Resident Evil: Requiem rolls around next year. Big thanks to DSOGaming for this.
