A popular play area at a much-loved park is set to undergo a raft of changes after the council was awarded a lottery grant.
Kearsney Abbey, in Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, near Dover, is to see several improvements to its children’s area.

It comes after Dover District Council’s (DDC) cabinet committee accepted a £20,000 National Lottery Awards for All grant to help enable a high-quality refurbishment at the site.
This is in addition to £135,000 allocated to the project by DDC itself.
Consultation with children and families is to take place this summer to seek feedback on what people would like to see at the park.
The local authority says it is seeking views on preferred types of play equipment and a theme for the area.
DDC’s Community Roots van – a fully equipped office on wheels which brings council services to the area – will be at Kearsney Abbey on August 7 and 27 to hear what users have to say.
DDC’s cabinet member for corporate property, Cllr Lynne Wright (Lab), said: “We are very pleased to continue to develop and improve play area facilities across the district, enhancing parks for local communities and helping to encourage parents and children to enjoy exercise and fresh air in safe outside spaces.”

The announcement follows recent renovations at three other parks in the district totalling about £180,000.
Travers Road in Deal, Marke Wood in Walmer and the Bulwarks in Sandwich all underwent several changes earlier this year.
