The XF43 is a new retro gaming handheld with an affordable price tag. Available for under $50 at launch, the Game Console XF43 combines a 4.3-inch IPS display with a 3,000 mAh battery, dual joysticks and an alleged 4 GB of DDR3 RAM.
It seems that Game Console has quietly introduced a new affordable white label gaming handheld, which can already be picked up under various brand names. For reference, the device joins the XF35H, which Game Console has seemingly modelled in the Anbernic RG35XX H. By contrast, the XF43 appears to share many traits with last year’s RG50XX produced by the same company.
For instance, the new XF43 shares its button layout with the RG50XX, including its Hall effect joysticks, d-pad and ABXY placement. The former also contains function buttons that flank the top of its display. However, the XF43 features a smaller 4.3-inch display than the RG50XX that outputs at a mere 480 x 272 pixels.
The RK3128 from Rockchip returns though with four ARM Cortex-A7 CPU cores clocked at 1.3 GHz, as does an alleged 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 3,000 mAh battery with support for up to 256 GB microSD cards. Currently, the budget gaming handheld can be picked up for around $50 on Amazon or closer to $47 after applying a 5% discount at checkout with a 64 GB microSD card and four colours to choose from. Alternatively, the same device is also available through other retailers, such as What Geek.
