Pointe Orlando on International Drive is the new home to Activate Orlando, a family-friendly spot where active digital gameplay is blended with high-energy challenges in a social setting.

Activate Orlando has over 10,000 square feet of gaming fun
This one-of-a kind-gaming facility is over 10,000 square feet. Guests can compete, burn some calories, and socialize all at the same time. There are 12 high-tech rooms in this space. Similar to games like the social-media-famous “Mega Grid” and “Mega Laser,” these games are designed to react in real time. This allows the players to stay fully engaged throughout the gaming experience.

In addition to staying engaged throughout, players can be challenged both physically and mentally while playing. They also have the option of playing in a cooperative manner, or competitively. With RFID wristbands, players can track their accomplishments to see how much progress they have made. If you’ve played before, you can still expect new experiences, as new games and levels are regularly being added.

“Orlando is the perfect home for Activate’s Florida debut; it’s a city built around fun, family and unforgettable experiences,” said Adam Schmidt, co-founder and CEO of Activate. “We’re excited to introduce something completely new to the entertainment landscape here — an attraction that blends technology, teamwork, and physical challenges in a way that keeps players coming back for more.”
Orlando is not the first home to Activate
Launched in 2017, there are now 40 locations around the world, including Canada, the U.S., UK, and Dubai. However, this is the first location in the state of Florida. Other locations will be opening in the near future in France, Germany, Norway, Denmark, and more, all with the goal of gaming fun with healthy physical activity mixed in. Players can literally #EnterTheGame and choose to work together, or compete with each other.
