Gamers who are in the market for an RTX 5060 laptop can choose between devices tending towards €1,000 and those approaching the €2,000 mark. Using Lenovo’s LOQ 15 and Legion 5 as examples, we’ll help with that purchase decision.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 with the brand-new RTX 5060 Laptop received a good rating of 78% in our recent in-depth review. Its positive characteristics include consistent CPU and GPU performance, as well as two M.2 SSD and SO-DIMM memory slots. The keyboard and the display’s opening angle are also appealing considering the price point. However, some cost-saving measures are quite apparent, as we found that there’s room for improvement regarding both the case quality and the display.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15, which is currently around €300 more expensive in Germany, does not really suffer from these shortcomings according to our review. Our RTX 5060-powered test unit has a lid made of metal, which makes the Legion feel more premium. The display is also better, since the Legion 5 features a bright OLED screen that outshines the IPS panel of the LOQ 15 in pretty much all respects. Accordingly, our overall rating of 87% is noticeably higher and close to excellent.
In conclusion, those who would like to save some bucks might be happy with the LOQ 15, but if financially possible, gamers should go straight for the Legion 5.
