When it comes to the fury of anti-heroes, very few can rival the carnage and wrathful indignation of Kratos, the God of War. Kratos single-handedly wiped out the Greek Pantheon in a saga that defined gaming, killing off all the Olympian Gods in a roaring rampage of bloodthirsty vengeance.

10 Anime Characters Who Can Beat Goku
Goku is the most popular character in anime history. He’s also really, really strong, but we believe there are other figures that could beat him.
After the Greek Era in his story passed, Kratos settled into a new role as he integrated into the Norse world, regaining much of his humanity and serenity through his bond with his son Atreus. Not many characters in gaming have a chance to move past their anger like Kratos, and they can be just as destructive and dreadful to those who invoke their wrath.
10 Shadow The Hedgehog
The Ultimate Lifeform

The ultimate lifeform born from a lab in the ARK and blended with the DNA of an evil galactic overlord, Shadow the Hedgehog is a direct antithesis to Sonic. He’s a naturally edgy character with a bone to pick with humanity after the death of his friend Maria, which led him to go on a rampage for the Chaos Emeralds to activate the ARK’s weapons.
Even after his heel-faced turn, Shadow remains neutral and temperamental despite being a protector of the world alongside the rest of Team Dark. He often handles his own enemies on his terms, doesn’t conform to Sonic’s ideas of being a hero, and tends to be much more brutal and dangerous when fighting Eggman’s robots or alien invaders.
9 Jackie Estacado
Vessel Of Darkness

Jackie was part of his Uncle’s mafia gang in New York until Paulie put a hit on him. During the attempt on his life, the eldritch monstrosity known as the Darkness manifested, giving Jackie the power to fight back brutally against the gangsters. But the darkness is far more insidious than Jackie had believed.
To make Jackie the perfect host, the darkness began tempting him with more sadistic and brutal methods to dispatch Paulie’s gang. It even went further by forcing Jackie to watch his girlfriend Jenny die in Paulie’s execution. Losing the love of his life drove Jackie to embrace the influence of the darkness fully, slaughtering any enemy he made and spreading the misery he suffered. His bloody rampage concluded with the wrath of other entities like Angelus.
8 Khazan
The Mightiest Berserker

Khazan was once a great warrior in the Pel Empire, and, alongside his friend Ozma, defeated the fearsome Berserk Dragon. Even so, the Emperor wasn’t keen on their success and had Khazan, Ozma, and Ozma’s wife, Reese, brutally arrested or killed for conspiracy against him. Khazan’s arms were also mutilated so that he would never be able to hold a weapon as he was marched to his execution.

Just then, luck came in the form of the Blade Phantom, an amalgamation of spirits that sought to possess him for their mission to restore balance to the Netherworld. With the powers vested from the Blade Phantom, Khazan becomes the first Berserker and goes on a one-man rampage against the Empire’s cronies and any other monstrous beast that gets in his way, becoming more vested in his vengeance as he suffers more losses and tragedies to the influence of Chaos.
7 James Heller
The Vengeful Soldier

James Heller was a skillful Marine who ran several missions in Manhattan’s Red Zone in the hopes of finding and getting his revenge against Alex Mercer for the death of his family. Despite being a man of duty when facing the infection and the degrading circumstances in New York, all his calm goes out the window the moment he comes across Mercer.
Even when he is outmatched, James doesn’t stop trying to take Alex Mercer down. His anger drives him to go for his knife for a close and personal fight, even when he becomes a monstrous infected like Mercer. Ultimately, he refused to work with Mercer and foiled his plans and ultimately destroyed him. However, by the end of his rampage, it’s hard to say if his humanity remained intact, or if he became just as bad a monster as the Prototype.
6 Kazuya
Boss Of The Zaibatsu

The former anti-hero protagonist of the Tekken series. The series began with his bloodfeud against his father, Heihachi, culminating with him getting tossed into a volcano and surviving. Kazuya crawled from the literal pits of the abyss, unlocking the Devil Gene inside him. After his survival, he sought revenge in the Iron Fist Tournament and defeated Heihachi, taking over the Zaibatsu group his father was in charge of.
But his anger, hate, and lust for power never went away, only amplified by the power of the Devil Gene. He continues to be just as much of a menacing danger as his father, perpetuating the cycle of their blood feud through his son, Jin Kazuma. Because Jin essentially takes over as the titular protagonist of the Tekken series, Kazuya becomes the main villainous focus, sharing the spot with Heihachi, with whom he’s still at war.
5 Gabriel Belmont
The Prince Of Darkness

Gabriel Belmont was once a mighty hero of the Brotherhood of Light. However, tragedy struck with the death of his wife. He then embarked on a journey to slay the Lords of Shadow, hoping to find a way to bring her back and find the one who killed her. After suffering betrayal and being drawn to his own dark prophecy, Gabriel became Dracula, the prince of Darkness and the mightiest vampire in the world.

4 Akuma
Master Of The Shun Goku Satsu

In the world of Street Fighter, one of the most feared and powerful fighters in the Street Fighter tournaments is Akuma, master of the Satsui no Hado and wielder of the Shun Goku Satsu, also known as the Raging Demon technique. Akuma has a tense rivalry with Ryu, viewing him as a worthy adversary to pass on the brutal techniques of Shun Goku Satsu.
Akuma bares all the natural talent, finesse, and warrior ruthlessness that both Ryu and Ken seem to have, only with less restraint. To him, the pinnacle of Martial Arts is gaining more power and training harder with that strength, no matter what is destroyed or the lives taken along the way. His philosophy puts him at odds against many heroes, yet that’s what makes him above them all in terms of determination.
3 Mitsunari Ishida
Wrathful Legacy Of Hideyoshi Toyotomi

Mitsunari’s appearance in Sengoku Basara is based on the abilities and speed of Kenshin Uesugi and Vergil’s Yamato attacks from Devil May Cry. He is the fastest and most attack-focused character in the series, next to Keshin and Masamune’s six-sword mode.
Mitsunari, from Sengoku Basara, is a devoted vassal of Hideyoshi Toyotomi. He is portrayed as uninterested in the carnage he unveils, so long as it helps Hideyoshi. When Ieyasu Tokugawa slayed Hideyoshi, Mitsunari became fully intent on killing him, whether it would help the war-splintered nation of Japan or not. He is so furious in his campaign as he cuts through Japan that not even his allies are spared his malice.
Mitsunari’s vengeful rage towards Ieyasu is a defining aspect of his personality; his intense obsession with killing him becomes his sole purpose. Regardless of what atrocities he became associated with, whether Yoshitsugu schemes to spread misery or the resurrection of Nobunaga, all he cared about was revenge in Hideyoshi’s name. Even when revenge is not on his mind, it doesn’t take much to ignite his fury.
2 Asura
The Raging Guardian General

The angriest Demigod in gaming, next to Kratos, the God of War himself. Asura was one of the mighty Eight Guardian Generals, demigods bound to defeat the gohma and protect the people of Gaea, until a conspiracy against him and a personal betrayal drove him beyond death to single-handedly drive his wrath against his former allies, the Seven Deities that took over after millennia.
Asura’s power comes from his vengeful wrath, and he has a lot to be furious about, from the death of his wife to the abduction of his daughter and the suffering of the people of Gaea due to the Deities’ oppression. This anger fuels his Mantra, granting him multi-armed forms and formidable attacks that can drive him to annihilate massive monstrosities, and even his former allies are no match against his fury-enhanced attacks.
1 The Doom Slayer
Hell’s Worst Nightmare

What demons are to us, he is to them. He is the greatest force against Hell, and is a man of few words. Treated as a weapon by the Maykrs during the Dark Ages War, the Doom Slayer is a dreaded warrior with a never-ending grudge against demonkind. Between the death of his beloved bunny and the thousands of lives taken by the forces of Hell, Doom Slayer is savage and indiscriminate in his warpath in Hell.
Doom Slayer’s rampage against demons was so destructive that they had to seal him in a sarcophagus, which is absolutely hysterical to think about. During the events of the 2016 game, he was released from his prison to resume his attack when Samual Hayden unleashed Hell on Mars in search of Argent energy. No matter what comes at him, or how big the foe, the Doom Slayer will rip and tear until it is done.
