My beloved (well, liked) LG UltraGear 27GR93U gets even cheaper
What was that I was saying earlier about dealsposting PC hardware we’ve previously bought? Because I am currently using the LG UltraGear 27GR93U to highlight some savings on the LG UltraGear 27GR93U, a very affordable yet very tidy 4K gaming monitor that I bought for myself back in March. Still for a fair bit more, annoyingly, than you can now get it during Amazon Prime Day.
I originally went for the 27GR93U because I needed a new, fast 4K screen for games testing, and since Ian Games Network wasn’t going to foot the bill, I wanted something that fit the specs I needed while still leaning on the cheaper side. Sure enough, it’s not awash with hyper-premium panel tech or side features, but it’s still a crisp, colourful IPS monitor that performs more than well enough for the money. Which, lucky for you lot, has just dropped from £550 to £365 on Amazon UK.
An even better deal, however, goes to the Yanks. Never mind Amazon, whose own deal is so stingy I’m not even bothering to link it – B&H Photo Video have lopped $200 off the 27GR93U, bringing it down to $297. $297! For a 4K, 144Hz IPS monitor with FreeSync and G-Sync. I knew display prices have trended downwards over the years but, gosh.

Obviously that B&H deal also has the advantage of not needing a Prime account, though for two. Hundred. And ninety. Seven. Dollars, I imagine it won’t stay in stock for long.
