2:16PM – Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Source: Xbox
It’s been a little over six months since Indiana Jones came to Xbox and PC (a few weeks since he came to PS5) and now it’s time for his journey to find the Great Circle to come to the speedrunning stage. BloodThunder will look to finish this game in a little under 90 minutes in this run that will undoubtedly belong in a museum.
4:20PM – Avowed

Source: Xbox
Obsidian Entertainment’s best RPGs have found their way into GDQ events in various years. This will mark the official debut of Avowed, just under six months since it first released in February. Given the variety of classes and where conversation trees can go, it should be enlightening to see just how this game gets completed in under an hour.
5:28PM – Beat Saber

Source: Beat Games
The rhythm portions of GDQ don’t usually begin until later in the week, but Kungfufruitcup is treating everybody to Beat Saber for this first day of SGDQ. She’s been playing Beat Saber for many years and is ready to grace the audience with an Expert+ showcase. Get on the dance floor and let the rhythm flow through you.
Summer Games Done Quick 2025 will take place from now through Saturday, July 12. For more, check out the Games Done Quick website and be sure to come back all week to Shacknews for more on this week’s marathon.
Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can’t enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
