Two of the biggest industry trade bodies in the Netherlands have decided to merge in light of a rapidly shifting regulatory landscape.
As reported by local media outlets, VNLOK and NOGA will formalize the agreement in the coming weeks, merging both memberships under the VNLOK banner.
Taking a closer look at the organizations, NOGA first came into existence in 2019 through the vision of Dutch lawyer Peter-Paul de Goeij, who wanted a body that represents the interests of both domestic and international operators on Dutch soil.
VNLOK on the other hand was established in 2021 post-online market regulation, with the goal of strengthening cooperation between Dutch igaming providers and building up good player safety practices while the market developed.
