COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – If you have a deep appreciation for sci-fi, fantasy, comic books, and the like, then an event happening here in Columbia may just be the place for you this weekend.
The Jamil Temple came to life on Saturday with people decked out in their best cosplay, repping their favorite characters for the third annual Columbia Anime and Video Game Expo.
Vendors filled the showroom with all kinds of goods for people to browse and choose from including toys, art, clothes, snacks, and more.
The event also brought in special guests to meet and greet fans, including actors, artists, and even pro wrestlers.
“It’s fun to put on an event that everyone gets to come out, enjoy themselves, meet like-minded people,” said Grady Martin, a promoter of the Columbia Anime and Video Game Expo.
“Come out and enjoy the things they do. Come out and meet some of these voice actors, celebrities, and pro wrestlers. It’s just, it’s a fun weekend to come out, hang out with your friends, play video games, and find some cool stuff.”
The doors for the expo open again on Sunday at 10 a.m. and the event lasts until 5 p.m.
