Arsenal tipped to hijack Tottenham move for £65m Mohammed Kudus as Chelsea circle too

Arsenal have been tipped to consider a move for Mohammed Kudus this summer – a player who has already attracted concrete interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are still looking to strengthen their attack this summer, and Mohammed Kudus has been identified as a key target for the Lilywhites.

It is claimed that Kudus is open to joining the N17 club this transfer window, while West Ham United, who are keen to stay within PSR limits, see Kudus as one of their sellable assets this summer.

The Ghanaian international has an £85million release clause that is active for Premier League clubs in the first ten days of July, but there is a feeling that a fee significantly lower would be enough to force the Hammers’ hand.

Arsenal could rival Tottenham for Mohammed Kudus transfer

Tottenham are reported to have put in two bids for Kudus, which have been swiftly rejected by the Hammers, as they are said to be significantly below their asking price.

Dean Jones, writing on the Ranks FC Ultras Patreon page, has now revealed that Spurs are expected to face competition from Arsenal, who may soon get involved in the race to sign Mohammed Kudus.

The journalist also states that West Ham United are likely to demand a fee in the region of £65million (€76m) and that Chelsea could also enter the picture.

“I do think there is a chance Arsenal also touch base with West Ham about Mohammed Kudus,” Jones wrote.

“The Hammers would welcome some competition for him, at a time when Tottenham are struggling to find the will to make a bid for the player that is close to his valuation.

“His release clause is £85million but his actual market value is probably more like £60-65million.

“It could even become a three-way London battle for him in the end, as Chelsea are definitely interested and made a cheeky player-swap offer to sign him right at the beginning of the window.”

Chelsea interest in Mohammed Kudus adds further pressure on Spurs

Of course, these reports regarding Chelsea are not entirely new, as it was previously revealed that West Ham United had offered Kudus to both Chelsea and Manchester United.

It was also claimed that the Blues were contemplating whether to include a few players in a bid to force the Hammers to sell Kudus this summer.

While West Ham rejected Tottenham’s earlier bids, it has been reported that not all hope is lost for Spurs, as long as they meet the East London club’s valuation in the coming weeks.
