Let’s be real, everyone has a guilty pleasure or two. Some can’t resist reality TV or midnight snacks. Mine? Well, it’s a little quirky, but I promise it’s fun!
I LOVE watching video compilations of Easter eggs hidden in video games. The funny thing is, I’m not much of a gamer myself. Instead, I get a huge kick out of watching other people hunt down hidden details, secret endings, and sneaky developer jokes in games I’ll probably never play. There’s something so entertaining about seeing these guys find those hidden details sometimes years after the release of a game.
If you’re curious, here are a few YouTubers who make my guilty pleasure even better:
FunWithGuru: If you don’t love a lot of chatter, FunWithGuru is perfect. His videos are chill and to the point, showing off the coolest Easter eggs with minimal to no talking. It’s oddly relaxing, and yes, I’ve definitely lost hours watching his compilations.
The Easter Egg Hunter: He took a break for a while, but The Easter Egg Hunter is back and just as entertaining as ever. He’s got an amazing eye for details, and his Australian accent makes everything sound a little more fun.
Oddheader: If you’re a fan of puns like me, Oddheader is your guy. His videos are packed with some truly mind-blowing hidden game moments and some good puns too. It’s the perfect combo of interesting and lighthearted.
Honestly, I might never pick up a controller when it comes to a lot of the games, but I love seeing the discoveries being made, even if it’s just from my couch. It keeps me in the loop about a good number of video games, and I genuinely enjoy every minute.
So, if you ever find yourself loving something a bit unusual, embrace it! Guilty pleasures are what make each of us unique. And if you need me, I’ll be on YouTube, cheering on as someone else finds the next secret ending.
