Drivers are facing rush-hour delays following a crash on the M20.
An accident at Junction 7 for Maidstone is causing long tailbacks on the coastbound carriageway.
Images show huge queues with traffic monitoring website Inrix reporting congestion back to Junction 4 for Leybourne.
One lane of four has also closed between Junction 7 and Junction 6 for the A229.
National Highways says traffic is not currently expected to return to normal until about 7.30pm.
It is not yet known if anyone has been injured following the incident.
