A long-running music festival will return this weekend after a brief hiatus due to funding problems.
The Ashford Festival will take over Civic Park in Tannery Lane for what organisers say will be a two-day jamboree of borough-based talent.

Started 20 years ago as a fundraiser for the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the grassroots event plays host to homegrown musical acts, vibrant market stalls and beer tents.
However, it failed to go ahead last year due to problems with funding.
But, 12 months on, organiser Sam Griffin says a new team has successfully raised funds to bring the festival back, helping register The Ashford Festival as a Community Interest Company (CIC) so it can fundraise for events.
She said: “The return is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and the unwavering support of the Ashford community.

“We’ve worked hard to create an event that is not only entertaining but also truly impactful, providing a platform for local artists and a boost for local commerce.”
This weekend’s gala will be headlined by seasoned musicians Big Flava Band on Saturday, while on Sunday rock trio Rock Paper Scissors will be the featured act.
Run entirely by volunteers, The Ashford Festival stands as the only field-based, community-led music festival in the town.

And in order to cover costs and ensure its long-term future, bosses have implemented a £1 weekend wristband.
Founder Vernon Seager, who has also organised the event more than a dozen times, added: “We are incredibly excited to bring The Ashford Festival back to Civic Park.

“This festival has always been about celebrating our community and this year, we’re more committed than ever to showcasing the amazing talent and businesses right here in Ashford.
“The £1 wristband is a small contribution that will make a big difference in ensuring we can continue to offer this unique event for years to come.”
