Leeds United have just sent a big hint on whether they expect to sign Manor Solomon permanently from Tottenham with their latest social media post.
The Tottenham Hotspur winger played a key role in helping Leeds secure the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists during his loan spell at Elland Road.
At the start of the summer, it was widely reported that Leeds would make a permanent move for Solomon, but the rumours have died down completely over the last few weeks.
Some outlets have suggested that Thomas Frank is prepared to hand Solomon a chance to reignite his Tottenham career.
Leeds United hint they are not signing Manor Solomon from Tottenham
Going by Leeds’ latest social media post, it appears that the Tottenham winger’s move to Elland Road might now be off.
On their official Instagram account, the Yorkshire club posted a picture of the 25-year-old with the Championship trophy, along with the caption: “Thank you, Manor Solomon!”
That certainly does not scream of a club who are planning to sign the former Shakhtar Donetsk man, and based on the comments on this post, Leeds fans are taking this as confirmation that the winger is not returning to the club.
Why Tottenham are not in a hurry to sort out Solomon’s future
It was revealed by Alasdair Gold two weeks ago that Tottenham are likely to cash in on Solomon before the start of the new season.
However, several sources have indicated that Frank wants a closer look at all Spurs players before deciding on their futures.
The Dane may want to start the job with an open mind and offer a clean slate to the squad at the start of pre-season.
That might explain why Tottenham have not been in a hurry to move on the likes of Solomon, Richarlison and Yves Bissouma.
