How much Mohammed Kudus earns at West Ham compared to Tottenham’s wage structure

As Tottenham Hotspur continue to be locked in negotiations with West Ham United for Mohammed Kudus, we examine whether he will fit into the North London club’s wage structure.

Over the past 48 hours, it has been reported by a number of sources that Tottenham are advancing on a deal for Kudus after identifying him as their top attacking target.

According to reports, Spurs have already had two offers turned down by West Ham for Kudus, with the latest one being worth £50m plus £5m in add-ons.

The Hammers have reportedly told the Lilywhites to pay £65m for the 24-year-old, which the East Londoners believe is a reasonable price since the attacker’s release clause stands at £85m.

Mohammed Kudus’ salary at West Ham revealed as Tottenham maintain rigid wage structure

It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy will meet West Ham’s asking price for Kudus, but Tottenham should not have any trouble agreeing personal terms with the Ghana international.

That is because he currently earns just £90,000 per week at the London Stadium, according to Capology.

While there is no doubt that he would want a pay rise at Tottenham, he would fit comfortably into the North London club’s wage structure.

Three players at Spurs earn more than £150,000, with captain Heung-min Son being the highest earner at £190,00 per week.

Spurs wage bill could reduce significantly this summer

While Tottenham already have a tight wage structure, their wage bill could be reduced even further over the coming weeks.

That is because Heung-min Son is potentially on his way out of Spurs this summer, while Cristian Romero continues to be heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.

Son and Romero are Tottenham’s first and third highest earners respectively and their departure should free up a lot of space in the wage bill for new additions.
