The second-fastest gaming CPU on the planet, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, is currently on sale on Newegg for an enticing price, along with a free 1 TB NVMe SSD. With gaming performance that leaves hardly any room for complaint, the eight-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D continues to be an excellent purchase for gamers.
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an impressive CPU that utilizes the magic of 3D V-Cache to deliver outstanding gaming performance. The powerful gaming CPU is now available for a lucrative price of just $369.99 on Newegg, along with a free 1 TB NVMe SSD from Team Group worth almost $55.
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D was once the king of the hill when it came to gaming performance, and the crown now belongs to its successor, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The difference in gaming performance isn’t as massive as the price difference, however, considering the current sale price of the 7800X3D. In other words, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is roughly around 4% faster than its predecessor in gaming performance.
That said, the eight-core, sixteen-thread Ryzen 7 7800X3D does trail behind the Ryzen 7 9800X3D (currently $472.02 on Amazon) by almost 20% in certain productivity workloads, such as Blender. But for pure gaming, which is obviously the segment that X3D processors target, the performance difference between the two behemoths is hardly a matter for concern for those desiring to save a few bucks.
