Today, develop 1047 Games dropped their first major patch for their free-to-play first-person arena shooter ‘Splitgate 2’, adding in ranked arena, weapon mastery challenges, a new mini battle pass, and a new map for Takedown.

Splitgate 2 developer 1047 Games today launched the biggest update yet for its futuristic online portal shooter, delivering on the community’s most requested features and adding new ways for Aces to distinguish themselves from the pack. The update is available today across PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. (https://www.splitgate.com/).

Today’s update includes:

  • Ranked Arena
    • The community’s most-requested feature is live today, offering a more intense, higher stakes way to fiercely compete in Splitball, Firecracker and Hotzone
    • Claim your spot and qualify for the big leagues by racking up 100,000 XP to unlock Ranked Arena
    • Exclusive Weapon Charms and badges are earned based on the highest rank achieved in each season
  • Weapon Mastery Challenges
    • After fully unlocking all attachments for a weapon, players can begin completing “Mastery Challenges” to unlock three tiers of exclusive skins for every weapon in the game: Carbon, Gold, and Proelium
    • Mastery Challenges will differ for each weapon. For example:
      • Getting 100 Double Kill Medals with an Assault Rifle
      • Getting 125 Precision Kills with a Burst Rifle
      • Getting 75 kills while crouching or sliding with a Heavy Pistol
  • More Mastery Challenges and new tiers of skins will be added in future updates

  • Season 1 Chapter 2 Battle Pass
    • A suite of new rewards is up for grabs in the second Season 1 mini Battle Pass, including:
      • Three exclusive character skins
      • 11 exclusive weapon skins
      • An exclusive portal skin
      • Multiple emotes, sprays, charms, player card banners, and player card titles
      • 500 Splitcoin + 60 Proelium coins
    • The Premium Battle Pass is priced at 500 Splitcoin (approx. $4.99)
