New Hampshire Mall Home to New Chuck E. Cheese ‘Adult Arcade’

For so many people throughout New England, escaping the house and heading to the mall to visit the arcade was a rite of passage while growing up.

Malls across the region were littered with arcades, specifically Dream Machine arcades. Walking inside a Dream Machine felt like a different world with bright colors, old and new video games and plenty of ways to pile up tickets in hopes of snapping up a great prize.

Times have certainly changed for arcades thanks to home video game systems becoming more powerful. But a familiar name in kids entertainment thinks adults in 2025 are looking for nostalgia more than ever and plan to bring it to them in the form of an adult arcade.

Chuck E. Cheese Opens ‘Adult Arcades’ Across America Including Salem, New Hampshire

According to People, Chuck E. Cheese is taking another step in the evolution of their company by opening retro arcades across the country aimed at adults. That includes a location inside the mall in Salem, New Hampshire.

These retro gaming hubs will be known as ‘Chuck’s Arcade’ and will feature both old and new video games. Just like the days of the Dream Machine, visitors can also play other games to collect tickets to trade in for prizes.

Just so you remember you’re at Chuck’s Arcade, Chuck E. Cheese or a member of his band will be featured at every Chuck’s Arcade location.

Most Chuck’s Arcade Locations Will Feature Beer and Food

As Dave and Buster’s continues to have financial problems, Chuck’s Arcade hopes to fill the void for video game adults. Most locations of Chuck’s Arcade will feature memorable Chuck E. Cheese food items like pizza and chicken wings.

But those locations will also serve up a selection of beer and wine for visitors as well. That concept has worked well for Round One located at the Maine Mall in South Portland.
