Tottenham-linked free agent Kyle Walker-Peters has been spotted training alongside Dele Alli as speculation builds over a possible return to N17.
Tottenham Hotspur need more club-trained players ahead of the 2025/26 season, with UEFA Champions League registration rules forcing the club’s hand as they look to fill that quota.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Kyle Walker-Peters, who would meet the club-trained requirement. Dennis Cirkin of Sunderland has also been mentioned as another potential target for Spurs in this regard.
Walker-Peters officially became a free agent after his contract with Southampton expired earlier this summer, meaning he is now free to sign with any club of his choosing.
Tottenham target Kyle Walker-Peters trains with Dele Alli
Now unattached, the former Tottenham full-back has been seen working out with a few familiar faces, most notably former Spurs midfielder Dele Alli.
In a recent Instagram post shared by personal trainer Connor Peters, Kyle Walker-Peters appeared alongside Dele Alli and Fulham youngster Seth Ridgeon during a private training session, with the trio put through their paces ahead of pre-season.
While many clubs are yet to resume official training, including Tottenham, the 28-year-old is already working on his fitness and staying sharp as he prepares for the next chapter in his career.
Tottenham fans, of course, would be hoping Dele Alli puts in a word for the N17 club, as many Spurs supporters believe Walker-Peters would be a great addition to the squad.
Walker-Peters would boost Spurs’ club-trained numbers
Tottenham are not the only club monitoring Kyle Walker-Peters this summer, with Fulham also reportedly keeping tabs on the situation as they assess their options at full-back.
Besiktas are said to have now entered the race to sign the former Southampton man, but Tottenham will be hoping they can secure his signature, as the north London club needs to reinforce their club-trained quota heading into a demanding campaign both domestically and in Europe.
While the current squad is fairly well-stocked defensively, any potential return for Walker Peters would likely see him used as a rotational or squad option rather than a guaranteed starter.
