Prime Gaming remains one of the best deals in gaming. If you have an active Amazon Prime subscription, there are games you can claim as part of that subscription for no additional cost every single month, and Amazon has revealed which games will be coming your way throughout July.

Even if you’re familiar with how this all works, you’ll want to pay close attention to what’s going on with Prime Gaming’s freebies this month. Amazon usually adds new games to the list every Thursday, but it has bucked that trend to kick off July. Not only has it revealed the coming month’s slate on a Wednesday, but the first two games, Boxes: Lost Fragments and Paqueretee Down the Bunburrows, are available to claim right now.

Amazon Has Only Revealed Seven Games Prime Subscribers Can Claim This Month

Normal service will be resumed on July 17 as two more games will be available to claim on that Thursday, two more on the Thursday after that on July 24, and then one more game on the final Thursday of the month on July 31. Not only is that a very light load compared to Prime Gaming’s usual monthly offerings – just seven games compared to a list of between 20 and 30 – but there’s a week that’s completely unaccounted for.

Not only does that mean we’re almost certainly getting more free games through Prime Gaming – the same happened in June when Amazon kicked things off by revealing nine games instead of the usual 20+ – but the missing week is a significant one. Prime Day, one of the biggest events on Amazon’s calendar, starts on July 8 and runs through July 11, so that missing Thursday will be right in the middle.

Yes, I know Prime Day lasting four days doesn’t make sense. Take it up with Jeff Bezos.

That means there will almost certainly be a big Prime Gaming drop on July 10 to celebrate Prime Day. Perhaps even bigger than the mid-month drop we got in June, which included Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered. That’s still available to claim, by the wa,y if you’ve been putting it off or this is the first time you’ve heard about it. Do it now, though, as it will only be available until July 7.

What makes Prime Gaming’s giveaways even better than what you get through other subscription services is that once the games are claimed, they’re yours to keep forever. Unlike services like PS Plus and Game Pass, Prime Gaming’s games will remain playable even after your subscription has lapsed. Everything announced for July, and when it will be available to claim, can be found below.
