A busy route has been shut for emergency water main repairs.
The A257 St Martin’s Hill in Canterbury is closed near the junction with Querns Road.


Traffic is already building on nearby side roads as drivers negotiate the closure.
A video taken by commuter Reece Gilmurray shows stationary vehicles on Warwick Road.
He described the area as “a complete car park”.
Contractors have dug a large crater in the tarmac for the works, which are taking place outside the Premier store.
Traffic information site Inrix says the closure is due to emergency water repairs.


It also reports queues in the area.
