The OneXPlayer X1 Air has been officially teased, and it’s a new gaming handheld that’s powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V. While the teaser didn’t share anything about the price range, it revealed some of the device’s core specs.

OneXPlayer is gearing up to launch a new gaming handheld, the X1 Air. As confirmed through a recent teaser, it will be powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, a top-end processor from the Lunar Lake lineup. It features the Arc 140V iGPU and is paired with 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.

According to our analysis, this iGPU has a slight edge over the Radeon 890M in terms of performance and efficiency. That would eventually make the X1 Air a bit more capable than the Ryzen Z2 Extreme and AI 9 HX 370 gaming handhelds.

Getting back to the teaser, it revealed some of the other core specs of the OneXPlayer X1 Air. Like its other siblings in the X1 series, it’s designed to be a 3-in-1 device. That is, it can be used like a gaming handheld with the detachable controllers, as a tablet without anything attached, and as a laptop with the keyboard accessory.

The company notes that the X1 Air features a light build and sports an aluminum chassis. Although the teaser didn’t show the full port configuration of the upcoming gaming handheld, it confirmed that there will be two USB4 ports. However, it didn’t mention whether there will be an OCuLink port, which is a more ideal pick for eGPU setups (GMKtec AD-GP1 curr. $469.99 on Amazon).

In addition, the teaser video notes that the OneXPlayer X1 Air will sport a 10.95-inch display with “2.5K” resolution. It’s possibly the same panel found on the X1 Pro. The battery, however, has seen an upgrade. While the Pro features a 65.02 Wh battery, the Air is confirmed to pack a 72 Wh battery.

As for the design, it appears similar to the X1 Pro and non-Pro X1, featuring a built-in adjustable kickstand on the back for hands-free use on tabletops. Other notable aspects shared in the teaser include PCIe 4.0 storage and RGB lights. OneXPlayer is expected to share more details about this new gaming handheld soon.
