Noah Gragson offers encouraging review of soon-to-be released NASCAR video game

As NASCAR attempts to draw in a younger fan base and establish itself as a mainstay among the key 18-35 demographic, one of the most important marketing tools it can use is video games.

During the sport’s meteoric rise and peak in popularity in the 2000s, EA Sports’ ‘NASCAR Thunder’ games were very well received and remain immensely popular today, two decades after they were released.

But in recent years, young die-hard fans and casual viewers of the sport alike have been left without a NASCAR video game to play – the last release of such a game came in the fall of 2021 with ‘NASCAR 21: Ignition’ – a game that was panned by most fans.

However, a new game – dubbed ‘NASCAR 25’ – will be published by sim-racing juggernaut iRacing this fall, and NASCAR Cup Series driver Noah Gragson had nothing but good things to say about it.

“Just played the new iRacing NASCAR video game,” Gragson stated in a social media post. “I gotta say, impressed is an understatement! It is a true racing game with good physics. Haven’t played a NASCAR game this good for 10+ years. This game will revive NASCAR console gaming. I’m so hyped! Great work to everyone involved!”

A great video game won’t be the magic solution for attracting young, new fans to the sport, but it certainly can’t hurt NASCAR as it tries to draw a new audience.
