The Mac is growing as a platform for AAA, big-budget games. Thanks to the advancements of Apple’s M-series chips, and new tools to make cross-platform game development easier, there’s been a positive shift of more big games coming not just to PC, but the Mac too. Here are nine forthcoming titles that Apple recently announced.
Nine big new games for Mac are coming, per Apple
Apple’s success in gaming has long been a mixed bag. The iPhone is a wildly popular gaming platform, with mobile games earning millions of users and strong revenue. But on the Mac, it’s a different story.
PC gaming has long dominated the market, with the Mac regularly missing out on the latest and greatest games.
That’s started to change after more gaming efforts from Apple in the last few years, particularly with its silicon improvements and developer tools.
With macOS Tahoe, Apple is launching a brand new Games app. And as part of that announcement, it highlighted nine new games coming to the Mac soon.
Here’s the full list:
- Crimson Desert
- InZOI
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Cronos: The New Dawn
- Architect: Land of Exiles
- Lies of P: Overture
- HITMAN World of Assassination
- EVE Frontier
- Where Winds Meet
Apple didn’t share specific release dates for these titles, but hopefully them being mentioned means Mac users won’t have to wait too long.
For Crimson Desert and InZOI specifically, Apple called out a couple recent Mac advancements:
Both games leverage powerful software technologies like MetalFX Upscaling to accelerate performance and deliver high-quality visuals, as well as take advantage of the M3 and M4 family of chips with ray tracing for a breathtaking experience.
