Inno3D has released official benchmarks for its RTX 5050 GPU

Inno3D has unveiled official performance metrics for its GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card, benchmarking it against Nvidia’s popular RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 GPUs.

Nvidia’s RTX 5050 is set to launch later this month at a price of $249. The GPU is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and 2560 CUDA cores, specifically targeting esports athletes and budget-friendly gaming systems.

When reviewing its technical specifications, the RTX 5050 has fewer CUDA cores compared to Nvidia’s RTX 4060, but it includes faster GDDR6 memory and a higher thermal design power (TDP). This makes Nvidia’s RTX 5050 a compelling piece of technology, presenting both advantages and disadvantages when compared to the RTX 4060. In the benchmarks below, we can observe how Nvidia’s new GPU scores in various synthetic tests. Notice that Nvidia’s RTX 5050 can compete closely with an RTX 4060. Both GPUs exhibit similar performance levels in these evaluations, although the RTX 4060 tends to have an edge in practical gaming scenarios.

We have some benchmarks for games such as Borderlands 3, Far Cry 6, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s important to note that Nvidia’s RTX 5050 nearly matches the performance of the RTX 4060, but can lag by up to 10% behind Nvidia’s previous-generation GPU.

At the moment this article is being written, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB GPU is priced between $299 and $329, which is roughly equivalent to the cost of the RTX 5060 8 GB GPU. For an additional $50, the 5060 8 GB is likely a more worthwhile investment, and the RX 9060 XT 8 GB could be an even smarter choice, making the purchase of a 5050 less sensible unless its price drops to around $199. Simultaneously, the Intel Arc B580 12 GB and B570 10 GB are also fantastic options for those in the sub-$250 range, so budget-conscious gamers should take those alternatives into account.

The forthcoming RTX 5050 is set to be a fantastic entry-level choice for gamers wanting to access the RTX ecosystem. However, for individuals eager to experience the latest games at high settings with fast ray tracing, DLSS 4, and future-proof performance, the RTX 5080 excels in its category.
