Tottenham have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Antoine Semenyo, as the Bournemouth forward has now committed his long-term future to the Cherries.
Given how impressive Bournemouth performed last season, finishing ninth in the Premier League, several clubs across Europe have been shopping from the Cherries.
Liverpool recently signed Milos Kerkez this summer, while Real Madrid paid the release clause for highly rated Spanish centre-back Dean Hujisen.
Tottenham, on the other hand, were showing strong interest in Antoine Semenyo, following his impressive display last term, where he grabbed 11 goals and six assists in 37 Premier League appearances.

Tottenham will have to look elsewhere for a new winger
While Semenyo was believed to be a player who could bolster Tottenham’s attack, it has since been revealed that Spurs are no longer pushing for Semenyo, as the Cherries’ £65 million valuation was deemed excessive.
Fabrizio Romano has now shared another update that should end all speculation of Semenyo’s departure from the Vitality Stadium. According to the Italian journalist, Semenyo has now signed a new long-term deal at Bournemouth, valid until June 2030.
The transfer expert labels Bournemouth’s move as a crucial one, as they look to keep hold of one of their top players.
His tweet reads: “Antoine Semenyo has signed new long term deal at Bournemouth valid until June 2030! Crucial move for #AFCB to keep one of the most wanted players on the market.”

Spurs now eye move for Mohammed Kudus
For Tottenham, they have now turned their attention to another Premier League winger, with recent reports claiming that Mohammed Kudus is now top of Spurs’ list this summer.
The versatile wide forward, capable of playing across the frontline, scored five goals and assisted three last term, and it is claimed that he is open to a move to north London.

Tottenham are now looking to secure the services of Kudus on a cut-price deal, as they are not eager to trigger the £85 million release clause of the Ghanaian international.
