Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) recorded solid growth in June, defying seasonal trends and bolstered by a wide range of non-gaming offerings.
GGR reached MOP21.06bn (US$2.60bn), marking a 19 per cent increase compared to the same month last year.
It was the second-highest monthly figure of the year, following May’s GGR of MOP21.19bn ($2.62bn)—the highest monthly total so far in 2025.
According to data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), June’s total was down slightly by 0.6 per cent from May.
The stronger-than-expected performance has been largely attributed to Cantopop superstar Jacky Cheung’s concert series, which several investment banks cited as a key factor behind June’s robust results. The concerts helped offset the typical seasonal slowdown during this period.
