Woman ‘attacked in cul-de-sac’ sparks police probe

Police are hunting a man after a woman was reportedly assaulted in a cul-de-sac.

She is said to have been attacked in Rose Gardens, within the Beacon Hill area of Herne Bay, on Tuesday, June 24 at about 4.50pm.

When police descended on the scene, a man approached to inform them of her injuries.

But as officers worked to trace her, the witness left the area without handing officers his contact details.

Police believe he may have information which can assist with an ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Officers are also appealing for any witnesses who have not spoken to the police to contact them.
